It a Saturday race (21 Nov). Just like LBM I don't like this course much but it's local and not many alternative races close to then so I will probably me there. Anybody else? If Dips needs any venues for the AGM checking out afterwards we would be in the general area.

Thanks...plenty of pubs about...the trick is to find one with:
a) function room big enough for 40 guests b) one that serves food if anyone wants to eat c) one with parking so not in the middle of Stratford upon Avon.
I have a couple of other options I (and scout Lincs) are investigating.

I'm pretty sure there are some decent food & drink places just outside Stratford that could accommodate 40 or so of us. We'll have a scout around.
I'd agree that we shouldn't be looking within Stratford, as there are obvious parking issues associated with a tourist town and we don't want to park away from the venue.

I registered a week or so ago for this. If I don't manage sub 40 here I'll very likely hit the Telford 10k as a final attempt before year end If on the other hand I do manage it, I'll scratch Telford, as I have the New Years 10k in Wymondham shorly afterwards too.
I could do Telford too I suppose, but knowing what Christmas week is likely to be like, there's a chance that training may not go to plan. My schedule will be busy enough as it is and I don't want to jeopardise Wymondham, as I had to withdraw last year due to Flu.
Anyway Mike, I hope to see you at Stratford on the 21st

Yes,I have entered the Raceway 10K so will be there whatever the weather. Surprised you are not considering the Cotswold 10K the week after? it's on my maybe list, follow by the Centurian 5 miler. Telford less likely now - if free from family comittments would probably go for a 5 Miler in Wolverhampton same day. May even be skiing!! |

I'm running the Norwich Half Marathon the week after, so obviously can't do the Cotswold. I've had the Centurian 5 miler in the club calendar for tha last month or so
See you at the Raceway and hope its not windy!
