It's all gone very quiet, hasn't it?

If, as I suspect, we don't have enough people to make two teams, please leave me out. Very happy to be on standby 'though. I will leave the weekend free in case of any late injuries.

Sorry guys, but I'm not sure I can make this event after all, but pencil me in as a maybe and I'll let you know once I know what's happening for sure.

okay Ian, thanks for letting us know.

In light of that I'd suggest we stick to entering one team with the following runners:

- Dom Stevens
- Stephen Price
- Alan Lacey
- Bren Bradley
- Pete Stockdale
- Zo Stockdale
- Dean Ward
- Alasdair Macdonald
- Steve Allenby
- Bill Preston

Reserve: Alasdair's nephew, Ian T

In terms of stages, based on what people have said so far, maybe we could line up something like this...

Stage Dist Runner
1 3.81 Deano
2 2.5
3 5.47 Stephen
4 2.46 Bren
5 3.54 Alan
6 3.54 Alasdair
7 2.46
8 5.47 Pete
9 2.5
10 3.81 Dom

I'm thinking maybe Zo can run stage 2, 7 or 9 as they border with Pete's stage?

Then Steve A and Bill for the other two stages?

Let me know what you think

If Zo could do stage 2 - and then I can watch/cheer/abuse her - that would be good.

Alasdair has now pulled out as he's separately entering a team with his family. This means we have space for one more, or someone doubles up (which I don't mind doing)

Ian, are you any clearer on your plans yet?

- Dom Stevens
- Stephen Price
- Alan Lacey
- Bren Bradley
- Pete Stockdale
- Zo Stockdale
- Dean Ward
- Steve Allenby
- Bill Preston

Reserve: Ian T

9 2.5 Steve A
10 3.81 Dom

Alan, do you have any details from David Denton, i.e. where the stage start/finishes are? access points, number collection etc.

Hi Stephen,

I have had confirmation from David that we have 1 team entered.

I have no other race details - David's e-mail is: z2r0u0n8z@yahoo.co.uk

He did say he would send more information through - but is much lower key than RNR.

Probably best if you contact him directly for more info - he's very responsive!

I know David and may see hime at the Derby 5k tomorrow (he organises them), although the weather forecast is looking a bit dodgy.

Sorry Stephen. I missed your post of the 19th

The weekend in question is one I'd promised to reserve for some non running time with Gill. In fairness, she's not seeing much of me at weekends, so I've got to put a few aside for her.

Unfortunately therefore I'm out of this particuliar relay. Hope you get a team together OK!

That's fine Ian, thanks for letting me know.

Unless anyone objects (or another runner volunteers), I will run stage 7 in addition to stage 3

Sorry for the short notice but I am not going to be able to make this one. Back went 3 weeks ago and I have not trained since and although I will be back running again soon, my back is not ready for a long car journey.

Sorry again

Steve.
