| It might be worth mailing Pearce - he's reasonably local but doesn't get on the forum much. |

think I've plotted the route correctly..
http://www.mapmyrun.com/route/gb/cromford/484125365050560577
first stage looks like a bit of a killer
the records for stage 1 & 10 (which follow the same route in opposite directions) 22mins & 18mins - 4mins difference over 3.81 miles! |

First stage is a steep uphill to middleton top, be a great hill session for someone, will give it a miss though. Running down would be fun though

Zo and I would be interested in being involved. Happy to be a taxi service if there are others who want to run.

I am getting us one team entered in the event for now - and if we get further interest we can either reduce down to 1 stage each or enter a second team (if there are still any places left)
At £25 for a team it will work out to £2.50 per stage ..... not bad eh!

Am just about to email out to everyone to say you are getting a team together. Stephen is the contact email so he can let you know if there is any further interest.
Started the email about 3 hours ago but work got in the way.
Good luck, wish it was nearer and I wasn't on the injury bench...looks like it will be good.
I've done a couple of David Denton events, he is very committed bit like IVA really. He also has a place in India he rents out to runners...if you fancy planning a relay a bit further afield

Interested too, if there's still a place available. I'd also run two legs.
Only just checked my diary and was amazed to find a weekend free

And that brings us up to 10...
- Dom Stevens - Stephen Price - Alan Lacey - Bren Bradley - Pete Stockdale - Zo Stockdale - Dean Ward - Alasdair Macdonald - Steve Allenby - Ian Thomas
It's a 10 stage relay so at present it'll be one stage each, however, if there's anymore interest then we could enter 2 teams and have a few people running twice. Will see if we get any further interest before deciding.
It would be useful if people could confirm if they have any preference on stage:
1: 3.81mls (800' climb) 2: 2.50mls (very slight uphill first 800m) 3: 5.47mls (flat) 4: 2.46mls (flat) 5: 3.54mls (flat) 6: 3.54mls (flat) 7: 2.46mls (flat) 8: 5.47mls (flat) 9: 2.50mls (downhill at end) 10: 3.81mls (800' descent)
If you have no preference then let me know and we'll fill the blanks after people have got their requested stage.
The whole event is going to take roughly 3:15 - each stage starts when the winner of the previous stage finishes, so it is likely that the outgoing runner and incoming runner don't pass the baton as such. So the 3:15 quoted is the combination of the times of the quickest runners from each stage. Our team time is likely to be slower than that but at times we will have two people running at the same time.
I hope that makes sense. |

Yes,yes, yes, yes.
Just got back from holiday and realise that I'm a bit late on this but would love to take part. Would prefer two shorter stages and happy to do hills. Very happy to do anything, even sit on the subs bench.
