Dips sent details of this one round in her email - anyone up for it? I happen to be back in Derbyshire that weekend, so would be interested in taking part if we can get enough people.

Being as I'm local I might be up for it - I don't mind running 2 stages either.

Alan, all the stages are short

longest stage is 5.47 miles.

course is out and back so 5 stages, each run twice.

Sounds like a nice event, but I'll have used up my domestic brownie points the week before, doing barns Green, so will have to skip this one.

Be up for 2 of the flatter shorter stages as well if required, so looks like I will be fighting Alan for those! If not one of the 5 mile stages.

To sell this a little:- to those who don't know Derbyshire too well this is on the edge of the Peak District near Matlock - great for a day out in the Countryside (or even to Matlock Bath to take in the "stunning" illuminations!

Don't forget the Cable Cars and some great chip shops. Lovely part of the country (but i would say that as i was born there) and the route of the run takes in some nice rolling white peak countryside.

Sadly the illuminations finish the weekend before
