Just finished watching today's action and can't believe Usain Bolt - 9.58!!!!
Great weekend of athletics and a brilliant Gold for Jessica Ennis. Some other good performances from GB and hopefully some more medals to come during the week.
Anyone else been watching?

Wow. How much faster can he go? I wouldn't bet against sub 9.50 at London 2012.
Fantastic performance by Jessica Ennis.
Athletics doesn't get any better than this.

Got to laugh...
quote: Bolt’s Beijing success was famously fuelled on Chicken Nuggets.
And he revealed this time he feared he might be dependent on the local bratwurst until a chance discovery on his way from training.
“It’s funny because Asafa told me there were no nuggets here but I found a McDonalds and I had a lot of nuggets for lunch,” he joked.

LOL, a whole generation of track wannabes will now be nugget-loading instead of carbo-loading!
Only caught up with Bolt's run via the BBC web site. Simply awesome.

I am zooming back from work every night to watch it. The womens 800m semi finals and the mens 10k tonight were great.
Paula won the New York half on Sunday, wonder if she will do the marathon at the end of the week?

Paula's in Berlin but still no news about whether she'll run.
Bekele was awesome last night. Fair play to Tadesse for actually having a go at trying to beat him. Bekele over the last 400m is just incredible though. 13:05 for the second 5k of the race! The mind boggles.
Steph Twell was ****e today. Very disappointing.
There are rumours of a positive drug test in the men's 100m final! Might just be a load of cobblers. If true, it won't be Bolt as he ran the 200m heat this morning.
Triple Jump final tonight, fingers crossed for Phillips. Have a feeling it'll be silver though and he'll be grumpy again. Fingers crossed too for Dai Greene in the 400m hurdles final - outside chance of a medal. |

| Bekele is very special - I was very surprised to see how upbeat Tadesse was after finishing second, although I suspect that is as good as he was hoping for. |

| It's like racing against Bolt. Not much you can do if you give it your all and the other guy is just better than you. |

Jenny Meadows - fantastic tonight.
The 800 winner - very sad that such a sensitive issue would be announced so publically, just before the final AND on the basis of speculation alone. As it was pointed out, identities of drug cheats is not revealed until confirmation by a positive B sample so how has this been allowed to be any different??

Am of the thinking that if Paula wasnt going to do it, she would have said by now. S hopes she's gonna be there. Saw Meadows do her stuff, fantastic. And I too agree that she handled the question well about the south african girl.

I'm not that surprised. Her time at NY wasn't particularly good and by all accounts she was working quite hard.
Pleased she's actually done the sensible thing this time as opposed to the past two Olympics. |
