Yep...I realised a bit earlier that I had our updated finish time sheet with me not the declared time...we were so close, 2nd closest maybe?
I need to go to bed

i was surfing the net and came across some other teams who were camping at Lynnsport.....apparently they were making a lot of noise on the Friday, singing etc.......funny thing is they were very quiet this year at the presentations.....

article from Athletics Weekly (taken from RNR site): http://79.170.42.3/roundnorfolkrelay.com/Publicity/scan_awsep09.jpg
Stephen gets a mention but they got the club name wrong - UK Net? Then again they listed Rach E (f***h) who was the fastest woman on stage 12 as (mixed) rather than list a club.

for some reason the RNR website is blocked at work
But isn't the Rach E thing correct. She's not a member of FERC so therefore the team she was running for could not have been in the "club" category. |

yes, I suppose so... they could have listed the team name I suppose, but it seems they're only listing the club they entered under (if they did so)

Changes afoot for the entry requirements for next year...
quote: In anticipation of a 'scramble' for the remaining 35 vacancies, after the Norfolk clubs had been allocated 20 preferential places, it was decided to adopt a 'first come, first served' policy. The anticipated rush was realised when the 35 places were all taken within 20 minutes of the entry opening, with no less than 11 other clubs finding themselves on the waiting list! Although pleasing that so many had entered the race, it was disappointing that others, particularly long-term loyal supporters of the race, had been unsuccessful. It has therefore been decided to reward loyalty and assistance in 2010.

Message on F.etch from IVA (I think)
Entries for the RNR Photo competition are very slow. Surely there are F.etch members who took photos over the weekend who would like to enter? There are cash prizes up for grabs. Closing date next Monday 5th October at midday. Details on News page of the rnr webiste www.roundnorfolkrelay.com/news.htm Good luck! Ian
Anyone entered any photos?

Thanks for the prompt. I've just sent one speculative entry, of Wicked making his flying start. Not hopeful of a prize, though (nothing to do with Wicked, everything to do with my unimpressive photography).
I think Pricey was going to enter the comp as well - he certainly had some good photos.
