It might clear the whole of Norfolk!
Bit busy at work but will endeavour to get a final spreadsheet out by close of play today. Timings remain the same and will not now change.
Forecast is looking good http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/dayforecast.asp?zipcode=kings%20lynn&day=4

Can't Garmin Training Centre (and possibly SprotTracks too) import from a GPX file?

I'm not happy about the change in wind direction for my stage And I will be amazed if it's 15 degrees. Nice for the rain to come for my stage though |

Rain seems to stop for my stage, but wind picks up, so could be a real battle, although on the plus side, the temperature drops 1-2 degrees understandably, given it's the dead of night.

aah, I remember now.. it is a bit complicated. Garmin Training Center can only open .tcx files. So, once you've got the .gpx file, go to http://www.gpsies.com/upload.do?uploadMode=convert and convert it to a .tcx file - Garmin Training Center will open this.

From what I recall, the pasta was OK @ KL last year, so happy to stick with that.
Must get back to my "packing". Got a pile of stuff for camping, another for runnning, another for biking. Man, have I got piles!?!?

Just to re-warn people that I will not get to Kings Lynn very early on Friday night - so some getting there early and not camping / there for the start on Saturday may have to wait around a bit.
I am leaving North Manchester around 4pm Friday - which is the earliest I can get away - so best case scenario 8pm arrival (I would add a bit to that though knowing the roads and it being Friday night!)
Steve: - please reserve me a camping space in the UKnetrunner part of the field! (Much smaller tent this year!)
I managed to get 5 miles safely run on Tuesday night and am going to have a steady run tomorrow to get a few miles in - the calf held up ok.
Claire: thanks for letting me know you received yours & Mikes race numbers ok
Pearce & Ian: Please let me know you have received yours (they were in the post first class on Monday to your home addresses)
Steve: Given up on Garmin & routes! I know the stage I am doing as it is the one I did aeroplane impressions on last year (which helped relieved the monotony of the straight Norfolk roads in darkness!!!)

Michael and I will arrive some time Saturday morning...um how will we know where you all are ? And Uknetrunner part of the field? Mmm...how will we know that?
Mmm... our tent is quite large...Michael wanted one we could stand up in...at 5ft 2 and 6ft 1...our needs where quite different!
Anyway you wont be able to miss us....there's not many men that small that get to bag such a tall girl
As we will be arriving seperately who will be around so we can call them or text and try and locate our fellow clubees?
Dips ...if some one will be there will you leave our t shirts with them.... mine is a small and Mike's an XL otherwise we will see you along the route somewhere whilst supporting and you can throw them out of the window!
And talk of pasta?? Is there food available at Lynnsport?
Sorry for all the questions so late in the day...figuratively speaking...as clearly dawn has yet to break!
Off out for my plod....
See you all soon! |

Last year we were in the corner of the field behind the indoor Skate Park (depends who gets there first I guess - but it would be good to get the same area, all together (away from the smelly / noisy f**ch end of the field!)
I do have the banner with me (no gazebo this year though - so I'll have to find somewhere to ERECT it!)
Not sure who will be hanging around the camping area during Saturday - most people will be out on the road - supporting, cheering on, ferrying around. I doubt I will be there for much of Saturday - probably away from site mid-morning and back in the evening for some kip before my 5am stage Sunday.
My mobile is: 07920 547871 - feel free to text / ring if you need confirmation of where the UKnet tents are.
Don't forget also that we need to run in Club vests (or club technical short/long sleeve t's for those that have and prefer them (like me at 5 in the morning!)
IAN / PEARCE - please let me know you have received your numbers in the post ok.
Not long now folks!

Looks like you'll be there a bit before me, Mark. I'm reckoning between 15-16:00. Try and get a similar plot of the camp site to what we had last year, as you already said. Anyway, I'll be arriving, erecting my, um, tent, then nipping off on my bike to reccy the end of stage 17 through KL - well, that's the plan, anyway. I presume you'll be getting from station using pedal power?
@ Claire - not sure what time I'll be leaving KL on Saturday. Probably sometime between 9 and 10, to get brekkie at stage 2 start. I think the pasta @ KL is a Friday evening-only arrangement, though I think there will be brekkie available on Sat and Sun morning. Anyway, as Mark said, there ought be a UKNR banner somewhere near out patch. If there's no one around there, clubbies will probably be either in the caf @KL, or on the route - a call to Dips / Wendi will let you know where the route is at. Roughly what time are you expecting to arrive?
@ Alan - blimey, I don't envy you if you're picthing your tent in the dark!

Pitching?
This new one does it itself - out of the bag and it's up!
(Must call it my VIAGRA tent - due to the ease of erection!)
