I still have my cards from Leg 4 (think that was the one I did last year but have lost the power of thought at the moment - work nightmares!!). I found them absolutely invaluable on the off-road section and will bring them with me. Would like them back please though as they are my "little souvenir". Thanks

One point on that leg, when you go through a village/town (never knew the name) you come to a T junction and there was no marking - its LEFT !!

I'm off to Norfolk tomorrow for a recce of my stage.

Just a warning that I may need to slightly adjust my estimated pace depending on the terrain and due to my lack of quality training due to a virus (more Man-flu than Swine-flu!). It shouldn't make more than a few minutes difference, so may not even need to alter start time, but as I'm stage 2, it could affect everyone else a bit. I'll let you know by this Sunday.

Thanks LB, those stage 4 cards will come in very useful especially as someone appears to have stolen all of the signposts.

* The only change to the course for this year is that, on Stage 4, instead of taking you onto the

A 149 at the observation post the route continues on the coastal path into Blakeney and then onto the A 149, an increase of 0.09 mile to the stage distance.

Hi Everyone

Sorry Zo and I have been quiet on here but we're really excited about it and hopefully we can come on here much more over the next fortnight.

Not certain that we have much to say, having not done it last year and having been given what seem to be quite straight-forward stages. If anyone has any info on legs 10 or 16 that we should know about then please let us know.

I've already mentioned to Dips that I'm happy to give lifts etc on the Friday or Saturday, but I'll let you all know that as well. As we're not running until Saturday night and Sunday morning we have a lot of time free to help anyone who needs it. Just let me know.

Claire - I've e-mailed you about shirt sizes as I didn't want to confuse things by sending an out of date spreadsheet (Medium for Zo, Large for me).

Pete, important information about stage 10 - it starts in Great Yarmouth, parking is very close to the stage start. GY is a bit of a sh*thole (apols if that offends). You start at the beach and finish inland, so it's an uphill stage. I'll be waiting at the finish so don't keep me waiting

Pete...despite your lovely happy go lucky email, I think it will be esier for you if we get someone to transfer to your start. You don't want to get back to GT and find no wheels for instance We should have a spare car flying about OR LB can move your car from the start to the finish of your stage. She is moving Steve's the stage before you so a bit of car hopping will fit in.

From memory..GT was a bit mad for the first couple of miles, negoiating the way out of the town took a bit of concentration but then its pretty straight forward there after.

Also...meant to say

A couple of runners may have to revise their run time. Just to warn you that this could affect the start time. Can't see it being any earlier than 8am though, just needed to high light this.

I hope to have comfirmation by Monday.

The other important thing about stage 10 is that it finishes with a lap around a McDonalds restaurant!!! It was shut by the time we got there last year, which I'd normally count as a blessing, but there were a few people (myself included) who were in dire need of some sustenance by that time!

As Stephen says, you'd better not keep him waiting, we wouldn't want him to resort to some Big Mac loading! Though maybe some Usain-style chicken dippers might not go amiss!

If we're running on schedule then McD's will still be open when Pete gets there. Closes at 11pm I think. I'll be using it to stay warm but will be doing my best not to snack

Stephen, if you could pick a Big Mac up for me while you're waiting for Pete...then fling it in the car window as you set off..most grateful

Mc D...........

Pete.....its the start thats a bugger as Dips says.....mind it was quite dark even at 9ish last year....and despite the bright sparkly lights it was still easy to mess up.....once out past the harbour....its not too bad....for routefinding.....however the profile dosent really help.....and is tougher than it looks as last year it was mainly DARK only the lovely beams from Dips and LB...

I,M HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY EMAIL ACCOUNT AT THE MO....I,M A LARGE FOR THE T.....my theres a suprize.....ALSO DESPITE THE CLIMB I,M STILL THINKING MY PACE WILL BE AS DECLARED.....
