That's great news, but why wait till Monday - procrastination is the thief of time!

Perhaps you should delay paying to allow the Euro-Sterling exchange rate to be even more in your favour!

Agree about London - even with my limited points of reference.

Zo's in the ballot, and I'll be using my good-for-age entry (yay!! )

Fingers crossed for everyone and hopefully we can be out in force next year.

Let's hope so Pete. Would love to get my first one under my belt with a decent time and qualify for subsequent one's via the 'Good for Age' card.

Just spotted this on the net regarding this:

The London Marathon allows runners with previous marathon times considered to be a good time for that age of runner, to a guaranteed place in the London Marathon. For 2009 these ages/times were set as:

MEN
18 - 40 ... 2:45:00-3:00:00
41 - 59 ... sub 3:15:00
60 - 64 ... sub 3:30:00
65 - 69 ... sub 4:00:00
70+ ... sub 5:00:00

WOMEN
18 - 49 ... 3:15:00 -3:45:00
50 - 54 ... sub 4:00:00
55 - 59 ... sub 4:15:00
60 - 64 ... sub 4:30:00
65 - 69 ... sub 5:30:00
70+ ... sub 6:30:00

We fully intend being there for 2010

not sure where we'll start though, could jump in after wheelchairs have gone - or could go from back -

i care nout about the organisers

no- one puts my son in the corner, if he could do things for himself it would be different

and if i were a solo runner, i'd go about the ballot or Bond place -
but i am trying to give my son a life

but they have stretched my patience

Was looking forward to doing this race, unsure what to do about running a marathon next year...

Brighton entries have closed. They will re-open briefly in November if the London successfuls give up their Brighton places.

How about North Dorset

http://www.ndvm.co.cc/

But don't despair there is always the club ballot.
