Hi all
New to forum and uknetrunner...and fairly new to running - better late than never!
I started running last summer. Slowly! But having shed 12kg and kitted out, am gradually speeding up.
So far managed to get 10k time down from 1hr 01 (Nov) to 57 mins (Jan) to 54 mins (Feb) and completed first HM (Fleet) at weekend in 2 hr 16 mins (having survived that first HM, eager now to get out there again and get that time down too!).
Interested that the guy on the PA at Fleet HM yesterday announced that he had noticed that no uknetrunner members were running this year...so am keen to bear the club vest in coming races!...and going a bit faster...
In the meantime look forward to joining in the forums and wider club
Cheers all Neil

Hi Neil. Welcome to the club. You'll be amazed by how much faster you'll go in a UKNR club vest - must be something to do with aerodynamics
Look forward to bumping into you at an event some time. Good luck with getting that HM time down. I'm sure you will. |

Welcome Neil, hope you're going to be happy here.
Very impressive weight loss and good progression of times. I look forward to hearing of your first sub 2 hour half marathon.
Good luck.

Hi Neil. As a fellow latecomer to running, I look forward to seeing how you progress. Looks like you are doing fine so far!
Your report on the Fleet half PA's comment about lack of UKNR is interesting! It's nice to know that we are missed, when we are not competing.

Hi Neil,
Welcome to the club!
Lots of people on here (myself included) have started running to lose weight and then found they were bitten by the bug!
Great progress already and I'm sure the forum members will help you with motivation and advice!
