If someone can be a reserve but prefers a shorter leg I am willing to swap and do the last leg in place of Matt. Fingers, toes and legs crossed.

Everything crossed here too.
Thanks Brigitte, if the worst happens someone could double up with your original stage 4, or perhaps WW could come out of her semi-retirement
YAY - Just heard from Pearce & he's good to go .

Hopefully good news... This morning I was still limping, but by the afternoon I could walk normally. It's feeling much stronger. Hopefully I'll get a short run in tomorrow lunchtime and if that goes well, I'll be fine for Sunday.

That is good news Matt - best of luck for lunch time.
Just a thought for the noorvenas comin dan saarf - probably best to avoid the Silverstone area due it hosting the second most important sporting occasion this weekend.
Also Avebury (and Waylands Smithy - near Uffington white horse) are likely to be choc full of assorted druids, sun worshippers, hippys & stone huggers - as it's the summer solstice.
Wether check - likely to be dry, with sunny intervals but not too warm.

Thanks for the tip about Silverstone David. That was my intended route, cos I fancied doing a couple of laps in my sporty number. I'll steer well clear now. Better get my big map out and look for a new route. Which way is south?

Lol Mark.
I'm totally disorganised. Need to wash kit, get route on garmin, figure out where I'm going, hydrate, stretch and sleep-load. Plenty of time tomorrow morning for a good panic |

MattD - No need for a pre-kick off fitness test then?
Glad to see the rest of you all sorted, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow..
Looks like Mark gets a relatively long lie-in this time round.
I've secreted water bottles along my stage today (thought about leaving my bike there too ) and have packed the party bags. What can possibly go wrong
