Hi, I am 42years old and based in Dublin, Ireland. I found the website on the net and due to work and travel commitments I did not join a local club. Aged 17 I ran a 3hr 11min marathon here in Dublin. Last April I decided to really get back in shape and since then I have run the Dublin marathon again in 3hrs 39mins, 10k in 42mins dead, 5k in 19mins 20secs, 10 miles in 74mins, 5 miles in 33mins 36secs. My next goals are the Connemara marathon (rated very scenic and difficult and the Newry marathon in Northern Ireland which should also be scenic. Later I will run a fast flat marathon somewhere in the UK. Great to be online!

Hello again and glad you found us on the forum.
I did the Dublin marathon a couple of years ago but not as fast as you! I was also looking at Connemara but the 70 euros for the race was a bit steep now that the exchange rate is so bad.

Hi Karl and a very belated welcome. It's great to get another member from accross the Irish Sea.
Your times are very impressive. Do you have any plans for races over here? I'm sure our paths will cross before too long.
