Heavyweight... I would say I heard you the first time ...but that would be really rude for my first time here ...but perhaps all you can expect from a girl from the Wirral! |

Welcome Claire!
Edinburgh was my 1st marathon last year and I will be there (in fact here - it's where I live) again this year!
Great to have another girly on board and by the looks of your times we can face a wee bit friendly rivalry on the hall of fame Although I'm not V yet so maybe you'll be way on top!
You're definitely in the right place - this mad house if full of great folks. I'm even more convinced of that havoing met some of them on Sunday
Keep in touch (like you wouldn;t in an internet club ) and we can be sure to meet up in Edinburgh if not before!

Welcome aboard Clair, i'm sure you'll love YOUR club and soon be giving advice about something or other, its something that YOUR club is VERY good at providing along with guidance, comfort and the odd kick up the rear as and when needed to help a runner to re-focus
remember to set up a running diary and put your thoughts on training sessions down good/bad/indifferent
I look forward to your input within the forums and reading your progress throughout the year

Welcome Claire! Nice to have another girl on board (though you're far too quick for me). I look forward to following your progress and will probably see you in Edinburgh in May

I will look forward to meeting some of you in E'burgh and yes thanks Wicked I will set up a diary and post about my training efforts.
Dips...thanks for today and all the links...some of those stretches look challenging...not to say ...er.. a little... indecent! Nice to "meet" you!
Painful sports massage has been had tonight and I am up early to run before work so will call it a day now and look forward to catching up with you all in the days ahead, reading your diaries etc...and getting to know "my" club!

Ooh, a font and colour change, Claire - nice to see you're making yourself feel at home.
Nice to have you on board. And good luck with your running for this year.

Greetings Claire, welcome to the nut hut. There are a few odd bods on here (specially some of the women....according to Wicked anyway, ha ha) but here all lovely and always available when you need them.

Belated welcome from me (maybe 1 day is not very late, but zillions of posts down the pile certainly is!). Your PBs for 10k and h/m are very similar to mine, so I hope you don't improve too much! (Just kidding).

Mmmm... not sure how the font thing happened.... I am really not the type to draw attention to myself
Hello again and thanks for more welcome hello's!
Had a run early this morning...I much prefer morning runs... 7 miles left me hungry for breakfast!
I will start up a diary in the next few days and post some details of my E'burgh training... it will be great to swap notes and get some fedback and see how others are tackling training! |

Laura...I'll try and get a word in... it will do me good to have some competition!
Lincs..yep...everyone seems lovely so far... obviously far too early for me to know the odd bods!
Thanks Steve, Dom and Fishy....yes ... hoping especially to take time off my half pb... I much prefer longer runs... and look forward to meeting folk...I sense some friendly rivalry! |
