30th March
Back still a bit iffy and decided not to risk it tonight, this is the first session i have missed for the last 9 weeks so really disappointed as was going well. Think i may have been okay going for a run but had planned a hard session so will rest and see what i am like on next planned run on Wednesday

1st April 1810
9km in 45min
Ave HR 158

Although back is still a bit sore when i am sitting it does'nt bother me when i walk around, so decided to take a chance and see what happened.

Need not have worried as had a great run on a really pleasant evening which turned into a bit of a tempo run.

No problems this morning other than slight ached in right calf but don't think its anything to be concerned about

Sounds like good news on the back front (if that makes any sense!). Keep it up!

3rd April
Been a bit lazy this week missed two of my scheduled runs one through bad back on Monday and one on Thursday when i was looking at properties in Wimbledon and overan longer than had thought and eaten a lot more than usual and also a few beers for England game so all in all my worst week this year. Last day in sunny Plumstead today, now 2 days in Darlo next week then rest holiday until start new job on 20th. It will be strange being at home for a fortnight because normally when i am off we are going away but not this time, but on the other hand it will be nice to be able to run round the doors again instead of only at weekends!

Those damn Indians

I am trying really hard to eat well and lay off the red stuff (not ketchup either) at the moment...its proving a bit of a challenge but I am determined to get to the start line at Lochaber in the best condition I can. I am so looking forward to a mad night out afterwards and maybe with an Indian!

Hope you are enjoying yourself at home...shame the weather has changed.

Looks like you'll be well ahead of me on Sunday!

Understand your domestic committments may mean a hasty departure ...but if not I am about half a mile from the finish line ...and no doubt Mike will have few beers in the fridge!

9th April 0850
8.1km in 45min 44sec inc 6 x 100 strides
Ave HR 150

Hurray it was dry this morning although it had been raining and was overcast, nice run normal loop to Dinnington and back, no problems and a few strides thrown in for good measure. Thats it now until Sunday's 10k, just pray for a dry day and a following wind!

Hopefully will see Claire and Mike at the start, at the moment one of my kids is not playing football on Sunday waiting to find out about the other.

12th April 10.00am
North Tyneside 10k
45min 49sec (my time) Ave HR 168

Will post race report later but after initial disappointment with run after studying previous times for 10k found that this was my fastest 10k for 4 years and just over a minute from a pb so really really pleased, and met Mij (again) and Claire (1st time)today also so was nice to have a small posse of UKnetrunners running!
