I've got the snotfest at the moment and it's not very nice. Throat gets very dry & sore in these hot conditions. Take it easy Ian.

29th June 1900
4.35km in 25min 42sec

Felt actually not too bad tonight although bit of a sniffle and head felt quite heavy did'nt feel it was enough to warrant not running so
27deg when i ran tonight and because of this just went for a short run with one hill thrown in but in general took it very easy, no problems though

1st July 1830
5km in 29min

Frankly at the moment running is just about getting out without much planned and try not to take too much out of myself with this heat 28deg tonight and frankly tried a little increase but felt drained pretty quick so just took it easy

2nd July 1830
5km or so in 32min

Pretty much same temp as yesterday and felt bushed after 5min so took it easy again and pleased to finish without too much damage. I will be pleased to get back up north tomorrow and some cooler air for a longer run on Saturday

Must admit the heat is taking its toll Ian. I've managed to train, but it's been really uncomfortable. It looks like there'll be some respite the weekend though.

4th July 0730
18.31km in 1hr 43min 47sec

Back up north and although warm for time of day about 15 deg this was like a frostcompared to darn sarf earlier in the week, however although conditions were sunny and warm at times there was also a lovely cool breeze to run in. However ran probably 20min further than should of and really tired in last 3-4km, but good effort today i thought

11th July 0730
12.7km in 72min 20sec

Usually on Saturday morning feel really good and looking forward to a long run, but for whatever reason it did'nt happen today , weather was great but just felt tired from the off and just really happy to finish as very lethargic but never mind sure it will pass

13th July 1900
6.08km in 38min 53sec

Good run with three steep hills thrown in about 70sec each.
No problems at all

Next couple of runs sorted for next week, Queen Mary 5k on Tuesday, then Gatton 10k on Wednesday. Decided to have one more go at the 5k this year, and also the 10k i plan to do on Wednesday is not easy and did'nt fancy doing back to back 10ks

15th July 1830
12km in 69min

Plan of a nice little circular route up to Wimbledon Common around it and back turned into a bit of a nightmare, my lack of direction showed up in the common and after asking three people the way out eventually emerged after nearly 40min in there was most pleased to get back i can tell you, longer than planned but nice pleasant night for a run

I was considering chasing you around the Queen Mother's pond but decided it was a bit of a drive for a 5k and can't face 2 laps of a pond while you lot watch me suffer!
