Sorry you didn't enjoy your race Ian, but a course PB is a course PB, and that was a healthy chunck to beat it by as well, so very well done.

28th April 1830
5milesish 50min 24sec
Ave HR 156

First genuine run around Wimbledon up to the common and a little foray into there, did'nt want to go too far in in case i could'nt find my way back out and back again, what struck me on the way up is how bad all the paths are and there are so many ups and downs and lots of people, i have obviously been spoiled by the wideopen spaces at Woking and the Thames Path around the Dome previously, now i am going to have to look for somewhere to do some interval running, so far have not found anything, so need to investigate more......but other than that no problems from Sunday, lovely evening and good to get out.

30th April 1830
5km in 27min 151Hr ave

Well mapped out a course which would take me past centre court, but got lost after about 15mins and ended up in a nice enough park, but shorter run than planned oh well always next time. Southport this weekend so no running until next week now

5th May 1830
7km approx 42min approx
HR haven't a clue

As you can see my er training has become somewhat erratic and undisciplined, after weekend in Southport of no running but plenty of beer (and watching eldest team being well and truly hammered in 3 games and drawing one scoring no goals and conceding 19) back to reality tonight done the run i should have done last week and ran past centre court and did'nt get lost either, no problems. So thought i was set for a 5k pb attempt on Thursday but thats been kicked into touch now as just found out i'm going to France this afternoon and back late on tomorrow night for work, so will hopefully get back into a routine from Saturday onwards.

8km in 42min 53sec

Childrens Cancer Run
Nice little run around Gosforth Park a good 90min after most of the mass had already done this so course was virtually empty, very enjoyable little trot with my 10 year old with plenty of walking breaks and the customary Greggs goody bag at the end nice healthy cheese pasty, gingerbread man apple and a drink.

14th May 1830
about 8km in 45min
Ave HR 152

Went out with great intentions of just running 15min and doing half a dozen biggish hills and back again but ended up doing a differant hill trying to go somewhere else, getting lost, find out where i was again then gettin lost again then finally managing to get back to wher i started, just not very good i'm afraid, but on the plus side there surely can't be mant more places to get lost at now. Anyway after all that absolutely horrible run most unenjoyable.

16th May 0800

Better run this morning back home, not too bad weather wise mix of clouds, some sun, some light rain but rather pleasant

21st May 1830
7.2km in 42min
Ave HR 147

Lovely evening for a run, nice gentle effort tonight and a first, japanese tourists asking me the way to centre court, taking a bit of a chance i thought and as i was (what turned out to be) 400mt from it i felt confident in directing them up this road which as it happened turned out to be the wrong one, but i did redeem myself by going back to tell them and point them in the right direction, other than that that was about as eventful it got.

Last run til Allendale 8 a week on Saturday, campingthis weekend, then family down London way for rest of next week and OH says i can't run otheriwse its not worth coming and as i am still at work i suppose she does have a point!
