Take it easy Deano and don't take any chances. Nurse it back gently with ice, elevation etc. I really hope it's not serious and doesn't impact your racing.

Hi all, ran derby mile last night this is the first time i have ran a timed mile, run went well until the end looked at my garmin (5:50)?? I DON'T THINK SO...looket at distance 0.9 of a mile ,but lucky for me my garmin is set on miles splits so time on garmin was 6:36 which for me is a great time..dont know if the times will stand with the distance being wrong?. .anyway the 5k went well, i said to myself i would take it easy, so well happy with time around 24 mins. just got to what for time on website....had a chat with Stephen and Pete before we ran, Stephens new trainers look great..half on Sunday looking for under 2 hrs this time , feel great so we will see..

Sorry, Deano's right. At the start of the 5k race the starter explained that the turn was in the wrong place. They don't know how far the mile was.
Very disaappointing for you Deano, especially given you then couldn't run the 5k at full tilt. Well done though because you know you would've PB'd had the course been the right distance
Not sure if you'll see this soon, but what was my time - no email for me and website not updated yet.
Cheers |
