I have had a full week off from running, now i have broken up from work for 10 days , i will ease back into it this weekend. 10k race next Friday .
Over the last 12 weeks i have been trying a new training patten, only 3 days of running and 2 days of Xtraining but not sure it is doing me any good. I have put on 7 lb and feel it when i run , Karen says it muscle but I'm not sure. Going back to running 4/5 times a week from next week and dropping the Xtraining to see if i can get back down around 13st.( 12st 7lb target for my birthday has gone out of the window so a bit p off about that but will see how the next 2 months go..
Hope you all have a great weekend whatever you are up too..

Deano, on the subject of your training plan. Anything that says you can improve your running by running less is generally a load of old cobblers. It's very typical Runners World type stuff where they promise you can "Run your best 5k in 2 weeks" type stuff. The fact is, if you want to improve you need to run more not less. I'm afraid that kind of weight gain is very unlikely to be muscle, unless you've been down the gym every day lifting weights!
On a more positive note, at least you've got some time off work to get back into your running and you know that plan was no good for you. Get back into running regularly and the weight will come back off again.
Good luck |

Thanks Stephen, i had to try it for 3 months just to see and now i will have to work a bit harder to get back to the weight i would like to be at..if you don't try new things you will never know if it will work for you ..I am happy now with the way i am going with my running so lets hope for a good robin hood half in September and the GER in october...plenty of training to be done..
