Sorry to hear you've not been well Deano. It was a bit breezy last night anyway so maybe you'd be glad you didn't run.
As David says, get plenty of fluids and make sure you're okay for Sunday.

Not ran all week due to illness, so should be well rested. Hopefully still going for a sub 47 but we will see.. the weather should be ok. Hope you all have a great weekend whatever you are doing..

Just got back from the DERBY 10K, very happy with my time garmin 47:33. only 38 sec off my pb .Avg per k 4:43/ per mile 7:35.
SPLITS. 1K 4:25 6K 4:51 2K 4:32 7K 4:49 3K 4:26 8K 5:00 4K 4:22 9K 4:56 5K 4:48 10K 4:54 0.8K 0:30 TOTAL 22:33 TOTAL 25:00
so total time was 47:33. I was looking for sub 47 but happy with this.. saw dom in the first km, don't know how he did. hope he got under the 47 mins he was looking for...
SO TOTAL TIME WAS 47:33,

Hi mate, Well done, really good time. I didn't make the sub 47. came in about a minute behind you bottled it after the hill on the slip road! Good to see. I will get a sub 47.00 10K - got a nice flat one lined up in a few weeks so fingers crossed.

Good run Deano. I'm sure you'll dispense with another 39 secs plus soon enough, as will Dom.
Sounds like you had a hill to contend with anyway, so on a flatter course, you should crush your old PB. It will come I'm sure and what's more important is that you believe it will and you sound confident to me

Well done Deano, only 39sec from pb, you can do it mate, your latter km are the key i think, keep pushing. Possibly with being under the weather and lack of running may have contributed to your time, but to get that close to your pb when obviously not 100% in last week etc is excellant.

Just got my chip time for the derby 10k 47:40 mins. finished 756 out of 3002. feel very happy now...

Hi all, got a great surprise today my wife has brought me a personal reg plate, for my 40th birthday.Iwould have put some photos on my diary but i don't know how to put them on so i have add them to the gallery, hope you like them i do so much.....

Just been for my first run since sundays race, 4.8 miles, 40:44 (8:33 per mi )... avg hr 154 76%.. really nice run , hard the first km then all went well. legs/thighs a bit tight but be ok after a good shower...
