Thanks again everyone, I have posted my race report http://aluaka.forumco.com/topic~TOPIC_ID~1875.asp

it was great to have club members around today and also the support i've had from other club members, I'm sure I'll get there its just a matter of time

running does help as does being a member of this club

Great race report .... glad you got back on track and finished in a great time..... I *know* running helps with the cr*p life throws at us..... when in doubt put your shoes on and pound the pavements.

Otherwise sleep when you are tired and drink the best wine you can afford.x

5miles @70%WHR = 41mins 02sec

another session just to ease my thighs after sunday, although they're really not that bad now

WHR was a little high (75%) overall but I felt comfy throughout and i'm really not pushing too much as I'm racing again on sunday although I'm not sure I'll get a PB but I will try & beat last years course time

5miles @70%WHR = 40mins 12sec

Av HR was again at 75%, just hope I'm not coming down with something, maybe its got more to do with recent events

Still just keeping the legs active and really wanted to go longer but that'll have to wait until after sunday now

Perfect running conditions although i felt a little sluggish to start with and also a slight ache in right knee which eased after a few yards, really enjoyed this session overall

Last session before Sleaford Half on sunday

quite a consistent 4 days of running this week after Stamford,

Training sessions run at 70%WHR with the times being pretty much the same

really tried to slow HR to 70% today by easing up on the pace & trying to run tall and not slouch, seemed to pay off, must try and remember this on Sunday

Sounds like you're all set for Sunday Shaun. Glad to hear Stamford didn't take too much out of your legs (despite the huge, snow covered mountains and cross-country section) and a course PB looks like a good bet.

Deano - very true and I may up my milage next week

The Car Sticker you gave me is REALLY turning heads, i use to worry about people looking/staring at my car(s)as they walked by , i reckon it could end up being an excellent recruitment tool , brilliant idea from you

starting to wake a little earlier so longer runs may be on the cards

No run related aches or pains & really enjoyed this session, its amazing what getting a fairly decent nights sleep does for you, maybe I'm on the mend
