pretty much the same as yesterdays session except today there's loads of snow on the ground so some remote areas where a little tricky
the ache/pull on upper right thigh on inside has all but gone and I felt comfy throughout

MY FINAL ENTRY BEFORE STAMFORD 30K
really looking forward to racing Stamford 30k on Sunday, I will have my late Dad firmly on my mind as it would have been his birthday (he died 21st Jan)
its been a tough period of time for me as such = a car crash where my stationary car was wiped out with me in it (me lucky I know), my Jen being tested for the big "C" (still on going & anyone who knows her DONT mention it), watching my Dad fade away over Christmas and eventually leave for a better place Jan 21st(almost destroyed me), my Jen being blue lighted in ambulance on Wednesday cos of medication she is on for sever skin condition she is also suffering from at the mo and listening to her screams like giving birth with no child at the end (this situation DID destroy me, I felt I'd explode)
my emotions are shot to pieces and a Dr has put me off work for "Emotional Adjustment" (Depression) but cheered me up when she informed me to keep running as it'll help/aid recovery even when I told her I train for Marathons/Half Marathons
I thought I was strong and I could handle anything BUT although my body is in the best condition of my life, my mind/feelings/thoughts are like a 5000 piece jigsaw puzzle dropped on the floor in a heap, where do you start?
running is the one thing that is ME time and where I can relax and think things through BUT I've been skipping running sessions opting for sleep instead (when ever where ever I can), I still been doing running sessions BUT only after I've got Jen and my Boyz sorted
Sunday hopefully will be a turning point for me and hopefully the VERY dark corners/areas of my mind/thoughts will become lighter
I plan to push myself VERY hard on Sunday on my Dads birthday & knowing how hilly this event is I know its gonna be painful, well my Dad is so worth it, if the sun is shinning on the day I'll know he'll be looking down on me

All the best for Sunday mate. You're doing amazingly well with everything that's been going on and I hope that being able to share your thoughts about stuff here is a small help.

| Best of luck for this morning Shaun. It's going to be an emotional rollercoaster I'm sure, but you'll get through it and you'll be stronger for it. I'll be thinking of you when I'm out on my long run. Take care and here's hoping things improve from now on. |
