Good session Shaun and good to hear that you're feeling strong and raring to go for Stamford. I'm sure you'll do well.

I wont be there, but may well hit the Cardiff 5K TT on the Saturday before.

LBM - thanks, I'm dedicating the rest of the weeks training to my dad, I take each day as it comes BUT I really want to do my Dad proud during Stamford 30K and on his birthday

Thinking along similar lines for my mom Shaun. I may dedicate my first Marathon to her, but in all honesty she's always on my mind at every race or training session, as I'm sure your Dad is in your thoughts always.

Hope you do a cracking time!!!

8th February
0800

15miles @70%WHR = 2hr 5mins 40secs

Ventured out into the countryside which was nearly a big mistake due to all the ice but persevered and glad I did, really enjoyed this session especially the later stages of this run when I felt I could have gone on and done more or speeded up even though I've done a few miles this week

No run related aches or pains, great session

Best to be safe than sorry Shaun.

Hope you're OK soon and it doesn't affect your Stamford event

Cheers

Ian

11th February

NO RUNNING but plenty of emotion, my Jen was blue lighted in ambulance to Hospital in the early hours due to sever stomach/bowel pain/blockage due to medication used for sver skin complaint

To put it bluntly it was like listening to child birth with no child being born, I can still hear Jens screams and my feeling of helplessness, yet another non running entry and my emotions are well and truely shot at the moment, Jen home and feeling better so my night may be better and I may run 2mora but I do still hope to run stamford 30k

David (Lincs) thanks for kind texts today, so far away but still willing to help BLESS ya your a star

Glad all is well with Jen.

You my dear need to take it easy...it is common to feel tired (worn out) after a bereavement such as yours. You have spent many months channeling your energy into caring for your Dad and keeping going then suddenly you can relax and boom...your knackered. Think of it as you do when you take a holiday after working all year, you start to relax and find yourself sleeping in the middle of the day and generally lounging about, its your body recovering and repairing.
