13th January 0600
5miles @70%-85%WHR = 38mins 34secs
good session before work
1200 - lunchtime run at work
4.21miles @70%WHR-85%WHR = 32mins 38secs
raced against Garmin as I did last Thursday and this time i LOST by 58secs this time, which considering this was my 2nd run of the day, I can live with that
I Really struggled in the later stages of this session though as it was 2 miles of head wind BUT I was wearing more clothing than normal and gloves, I was also pushing as hard as i could so over all a VERY good HOT work out

The weather has changed quickly Wicked, I was down to two layers yesterday & no hat or gloves, and I still felt warm.
Well done on your double sessions - do you do them as part of a particular training strategy or just because that is when you can fit in the training? |

HW - I do double sessions when i can fit them in, I dont really have a particular training strategy apart from 70%WHR training most of the time
15th January 0530
5miles @70%WHR = 41mins 36secs
I felt a little sluggish this morning due to lack of sleep the night before
1200 - lunchtime run at work
4.21miles @70%WHR-85%WHR = 33mins 30secs
very cold and windy again next to the North Sea but generally felt great throughout this session, which is the last training session before NTRIX

1st run since NTRIX, good session no run related aches or pains, very, very icy this morning but overall near perfect conditions to run in

21st January 0915
Some sad news
I was informed this morning that my Dad had died and that he'd passed away in his sleep
as many club members know my Dad had been ill for some time and this inturn has affected my training athough I've needed running to help clear my head, I've also been VERY grateful for the help/support from my club mates during my low moments and there's been quite a few
15th Feb is my Dad's birthday and on this day I will be running in Stamford Striders St Valentines 30k, there'll be only one thing on my mind and I hope he'll be looking down on me with pride in what he created
Sorry the above isnt about running/racing or training BUT it will affect my future training and racing
