Best of luck with physio, matey. You'll be back running in no time at all.

Shaun, you had a pretty crap few months mate, its gonna change for you. A few days off wont do you any harm, probably do you more good. Get the injuries out the way now and it leaves the rest of the year for you. Keep smiling buddy.

my back has eased a little this afternoon as I've been up in the false roof AGAIN!!! also the TEN's machine with fresh batty's has been hitting the spot too, I'm just hoping its just a slight tweak as I wasnt lifting anything at the time when it happened, I'd just been twisting through the attic beams and bent down for a while

I may even try and run 2mora if my back feels as it does at the mo

I'm sure a glass of fermented apple juice this evening will aid further recovery

I did hit an all mighty low when this injury happened because NOT being able to run is JUST aweful BUT its eased today and I've had a couple of ciders so I may try and run in the morning

11th March

Lower back just aches and a little painful when standing up straight but once I'm active its not too bad

Off to Physio this afternoon for neck injury so may ask to have lower back looked at as well

I guess my body is telling me to slow down and relax although I have not been training as much of late so this latest injury is a little annoying as it wasnt caused through running

Just got confirmation through email that I'm in the Hull 20 on 22nd, i thought I'd left it to late BUT I got in really happy now

If I had'nt got in this I would have run Ashby 20 on the same day, well Ashby 20 may be on for next year IF i beat last years time at Hull 20 which will be a PB if i do

13th March
0850

5miles @70%WHR = 39mins 06secs

Only a slight ache in lower back and left bum cheek, after having 3 days enforced rest, especially yesterday when i had double vision and dizzyness, I really was a little worried if i was doing the right thing going for a run

I felt good throughout and felt better for getting out in the fresh air

Good that you are running again after a short break, hopefully you can have a lengthy spell of activity without anything bad happening now

Hope your back problems get resolved soon Shaun. And be careful with the 20 miler on Sunday, especially if your back's not right.
