Targets for 2009 as listed below
to better ALL PB's set in 2008 which is going to be a VERY TOUGH ask
5k = 00:22:08 5miles = 00:36:32 10k = 00:44:48 10miles = 01:15:49 20miles = 02:43:48 30k = 02:41:35 13.1 miles = 01:37:17 26.2 miles = 03:43:5
to beat 2008 mileage of 2002miles

Good luck with that Wicked. After the year you had in 2008 it would be a daft man who bets against you setting new PBs across the board in 2009

Well Wicked - you've no half set yourself a target or two for next year! Fab times you've set all over this year but you've got it in you to kick butt and go for it again!!
Now.... I'll write in place of Mark
Just take what you can but don't let yourself expect too much. You've a pretty high bar now to get over so remember to reassess through the year to focus on what you want most I'm thinking that marathon of yours should be in for a kicking - just in case I catch you
Best of luck and enjoyment with it and life in 2009

Some great comments there Guys/Gals, its that sort of thing that make OUR club so SPECIAL thank you
3rd January 0600
5miles @70%WHR = 40mins 56secs
nearly didnt go out for this session as I felt it may have made me late for work (It did by 5mins heyho lol)
no run related aches or pains and a very good session
1200 - lunchtime run at work
4.21miles @70%WHR-85%WHR = 32mins 39secs
2nd run of the day and LOVED every minute of it, even pushing to sub 7m/m during the last mile and managing to stay there
no run related aches or pains BUT I have got a nagging ache in my right shoulder since my car crash I may try a few press ups before running to see if this eases it
great session next to the North Sea in glorious sunshine

4th January 0545
5miles @70%WHR = 40mins 40secs
getting back into running 1st thing in the morn and I love this time of day especially when its freezing and no wind, really enjoyed this session even with a disturbed nights sleep to a indian call centre selling stuff on the phone at 0200!!!, i thought the call was about my poorly Dad so I really wasnt happy, so i REALLY needed this session to vent so anger
1150 - lunchtime run at work
4.21miles @70%WHR-85%WHR = 32mins 01secs
its difficult to fit this session in at work due to shift changes BUT when on shift for the full day I'm soooo gonna try and fit this run in as I find it relaxing even though i'm pushing harder than normal
this run next to the North Sea can be different each day, today It was again freezing with a slight inland breeze which was cutting to say the least off the marshes
another great days running for me

5th January REST - scheduled/planned
6th January REST - Due to sever black ice on paths and roads
7th January 0445
5miles @70%WHR = 40mins 01secs
good session before work, still a lot of black ice around remote areas of this route so extra care was taken
no run related aches or pains, niggling shoulder pain due to whiplash injuries is still present but is starting to ease
Legs feel full of running and very responsive

1200 - lunchtime run at work
4.21miles @70%WHR-85%WHR = 31mins 01secs
Decided to race against Virtual Partner on my Garmin and I won by 40secs AND I was also sticking to HR during session so I'm happy ALTHOUGH 2 more seconds and it would have been a PB for training distance lol

11th January 0920
7.21miles @70%WHR = 1hr 01min 58secs
2miles of this route is X-Country and it was very muddy this morning so trainers became VERY heavy, also combined with a very strong head wind at times, WHR averaged 74% overall for this session
No run related aches or pains

Just be informed that my Nemesis event The Sea Bank Marathon is on the same day as Woodhall Spa 10k June 7th
I am soooooooo gutted because Woodhall Spa 10k is an awesome event & VERY well organized, its also getting to be very popular especially as Lincoln 10k is very poorly run/organized
I guess I REALLY am gonna have to look more to the longer distances this year
