So here goes for 2009:

PB at every distance
6 Marathons including 3 in 2 weeks
Run 1500 miles
Run a minimum of 1 mile everday of the year

Not asking much but all achievable with some hard work and lady luck.

Proud to be a Netrunner in 2009!

1st January 2009 - 0820 - 6m - 56:47

The great thing about being a teatotaller is that I never ever have an hangover.

Great to start to the year, WHR unusually high at 72% so will keep an eye on that, very cold out that but beautiful and crisp.

good luck with your targets best advice I can give is DONT worry about speed, concentrate on Endurance & Stamina for the Marathons you have planned, once you have a firm foundation of Endurance & Stamina you may well surprise yourself at the speeds/pace that then comes naturally

I look forward to reading about your progress

4th January - 0530 - 9.74m - 1:35:42

Great early run with Lumsdoni although it was -2.5 out there! Soon warmed up though and enjoyed the 7 miles we ran together, time goes so much quicker with someone to talk to.

Tuesday 6th January - 1630 - 6m - 55:22

Cracking speed session with 1 mile warm up then planned 1.5 mile at 8mm pace, 0.5m steady then another 1.5m at 8mm pace the 1.5m warm down. Actually did the 3 miles speed part in 7:39mm and whilst I was pushing I was certainly capable of going faster. Really pleased with this one and given me loads of confidence for what I can achieve this year.

Thursday 8th January - 2200 - 4.03m - 36:10

Planned session of 1 m w/u then 2 miles at 9mm and 1m w/d. Ended up running the middle two quicker than planned so the average for all four miles was under 9mm. Happy with this one

Friday 9th January - 2110 - 3m - 31:05

Very steady run on a scheduled rest day in my marathon plan. Kept a very steady pace at 10:22 for just 58%WHR!!

Felt very lethargic after a hard weeks work but once I got out it was a glorious -2. I love winter.
