Congrats on finishing 3 minutes faster than last year Matt, especially considering you weren't firing on all cylinders!

it was in fact 6.25 miles, so not short at all. The last km was almost all down a steep hill

RNR checklist:

- tent: need to get out of the loft
- sleeping bag: as above
- ibuprofen: buy lots
- shot bloks: got 'em
- for goodness shakes: best part of 4 cases in garage - don't forget 'em!
- nuun: got loads
- clothes: pack plenty - it gets blummin' cold in the wee hours
- hydration: bring running backpack and 2L platypus (good practice for longer off road runs to come)
- maps: remember to bring satnav, print sheet of postcodes for stage start locations, etc.. particularly for stages 12-17 where I'm timekeeping!

really looking forward to this now

argh! annoyed with myself.. went off to the gym to get changed for a run and realised I had

1. no socks
2. the wrong shoes

****. So I went and bought a butty instead. Pastrami - nice.

This is going to be a pants week, mileage-wise. Oh well, next week is supposed to be a 56-miler, so perhaps it's not a bad thing.

RNR in two days!

Thu 17th Sept - 6.49 miles - 01:01:47 - 9:31m/m - avg hr 76%WHR/159bpm
Good mixed terrain run in a loop from the office and taking in some of the Thames path.. perfect conditions for it too - hopefully the weather won't change over the weekend.

Off to the Royal Albert Hall after work to see Ray LaMontagne with Mrs D.. then "working from home" tomorrow morning (packing for RNR)

Not entered yet but am definitely thinking of doing it. Not much else about in December. There is a off road marathon in Stansted organised by LDWA but I like the idea of getting on the Downs again, I need to get on there as much as possible prior to next September.

I am looking at organising a three day run over the whole of the downs next May/June time if you are interested. There will be no cost other than accomodation along the way.

In't running brilliant.
