sounds a good idea....... out of the blue.... how bout Newark half marathon in August. Dont ask me the date though cos i aint got a clue. Pretty central tho, ive done it (as has Shaun and Matt T). 2009 will be my fourth time. mostly flat apart from a longish climb at around 10 miles but then there is a fast downhill stretch as you come back into newark.

Am waiting for the nod from Alan as to the AGM venue but I am sure we can ferry you to the AGM Krissie. Shame I won't be able to chase you down this year

I am disappointed not to be running too, I think we could pull each other round nicely. But I know that the day after cross country walking is about my limit. Wicked seems more than happy to be of assistance though. What is it with the lead up to these UKnetrunner meetings that always causes excitement amongst the boys on these forums

Would it be possible for the fleeces (and any other "bits" members have asked for) to be available for the AGM please? It would be great to get our hands on them and would save postage, etc. I know not everyone will be there but would help things a bit if at least some of us could collect.

Should I be scared LOL. I'm quite excited at the moment although I am very scared too! Never run away from home since a wee kid or met so many new people

The Agenda will (I hope) be circulated this coming week.
I will also be circulating the nominations for Uknet Runner of the Year and will be asking you to get back to me asap with your vote.
I hope to finalise the venue tomorrow or Tuesday at the very latest.
Lincs is kindly off on a reccy of the Boars Head at Hampton Lucy for me.
We also have the option of the Granville at Barford (about 6 miles from Tiddington) They do a set Sunday lunch BUT its £14 a head for a two course meal. I suspect most think this is a bit too expensive so haven't booked it yet.
To follow up is Stratford Sports Club where Stratford AC are based and Tiddington Community Centre (aka Village hall)

Ha ha LOL - I'm with you Dips.... on the wagon for me means mostly not drinking unless there's a really good excuse..... checking out a pub on behalf of others is a really good excuse

I can now confirm the venue for the AGM will be the Boars Head at Hampton Lucy. http://theboarsheadhamptonlucy4food.co.uk/default.aspx
Many thanks to Lincs for the reccy and feed back...I hope he sobers up soon.
As regards food we have a few choices so thoughts please.
We can go with the bar menu which includes a roast for about £8 or something like ham and chips for £4. They would of course appreciate it if we don't ALL arrive at once and we are a bit patient!
Or the pub can lay on various buffets for us. Sandwiches and chips - £3 ahead Cold Buffet - £5.50 a head Hot Buffet £7.50 a head
