There seems to be a HUGE list of unapproved results again....
Alan can you approve or Matt?
I think this should be added to the agenda at the AGM - discussion on who else can approve... or results not requiring approval etc....

A point I raised recently which seemingly got missed/ignored by Alan/Matt.
As an internet-based club, our website has to be top notch & kept up-to-date. Matt has done an excellent job on the site, but it can get out-of-date quite easily when only a couple of people can update it.
I'd agree with raising at the AGM |

Hi Stephen / Wendi,
I can assure you the point was not missed or ignored.
I spoke recently with Brigitte re: more frequent update of website and getting someone else on board to assist.
Stephen - perhaps you may be one of the guys to assist?
I spent a long time recently getting the results updated - it isn't a quick job. Although I appreciate Stephens former point re: not needing verification of results - I would point out that although results are not generally checked from an honesty perspective, they are checked to ensure they have been entered correctly - and this will need to continue. The process unfortunately is not as quick as just pressing a button and all being verified.
My last update took quite some time, and I don't have a lot to give.
I'm not sure how much time Matt gets these days to spend on the club website - I dare say not a lot (I know his job changed which may have restricted his available time).
I appreciate that these issues cause frustrations - but sometimes the way people word these issues on the forum can be very frustrating to people who put a lot of work in behind the scenes with this club.
Certainly a point for the AGM.
It can be resolved and improved well before then though.

Incidentally - the results, and Grand Prix data, are completely up to date now.
If anyone does not feature on the Grand Prix and wants to - please let me know.

Al - I am happy to volunteer some time & I am sure a lot of other members would be as well. I'm sure there is a lot of work goes on 'behind the scenes' but it is not always obvious what is happening.
Thanks for all your continued hard work. |

Hi Guys -first let me apologise - it's my job to update the site and I've not been doing it as often as I should.
2nd - more people to approve results. Definately a good idea, already Brigitte Laura Alan and myself can do it - although I'm not sure that Brig and Laura knew they could or what to do to approve.
I shall email them with details and we can move forward and see how it works from here. |

Just wanted to give a vote of thanks to all on the committee for everything they do. I know some of you have young families and challenging carreers.
Alan, if ever there is anything I can do, just let me know.

Preso, I agree. I certainly don't mean to come across as moaning as I appreciate that not everyone can frequent the internet as often as people like myself.
Alan, would be more than happy to help out. Additionally, if Matt needs any help (time wise) with more technical aspects of the site, I am not too shabby at web design and know PHP & SQL. The offer is there if you want/need it |

Alan - Just to point out it wasn't me - Wendi - who mentioned this. Being slow, my results are not really of any consequence to anyone so I wouldn't be in any position to complain!!

I didn't know I had the power either! I'm online most days, so let me know what I have to do and I'll be right on it |

Still feel a bit new to the club/forum - I don't think I'm part of the Grand Prix but would like to be - please add me?
Thanks

I've just had a look round the back of the system and it looks like it is because the GP qualifying data hasn't been put in. I can do it but I'm unsure if there is a reason for it not being there...ie did you join too late to be included in this years GP?
Will have to wait for Matt or Al to give the ok first I'm afraid.
