Not the best of days, weather wise....and a pretty poor time of 55.36. Short journey up the A38 to Brixham, small field of just under 200, but high number of quality runners as this was a Devon club challenge, winner came in at 33 mins!!! A slight climb from the start and through an underpass so slight congestion, follow the Torbay ring road and another congestion point before the course opened up...a lovely little course through the villages and streets towards Brixham harbour, winding its way back through the country side and past the golf course along the main road slightly, through the underpass and back to the finish line.
Was going lovely until halway..20 mins for first 4..next k clocked 6mins!!! gradual inclines and blinking heavy head wind put paid to PB so at 8k point decided not to push on and just relaxed back in preparation for next weeks GER...BUT my garmin said 54 not 55 but eh ho...
A nice well ran race and nice tshirt and energy bar at the finish line, will be back for this one next year as dispite the undulations this course has PB potential...

Sounds like you enjoyed this regardless of your time, and good prep for the GER next weekend. 33 mins - wow, that's going some.

MarkW - well done mate excellent report, UNDERPASS'S can be as bad as hills, because of the twist's and turns which can be quite tight at times.
At the end of the day your a runner (so many peeps know what i'm gonna say now) YOUR in the TOP 10% of the UK for fitness and health as thats all that do ANY fitness in the UK especially by way of running, so no matter how you feel (even though you sound a little down- DONT BE) I for ONE am proud to be in the same club as you, RESPECT well done
see ya sunday at "Costa Peterborough" lol, it'll be sunny LOL

Well done, Mark. Glad to see you keeping the UKnetrunner flag flying in Brixham.
Given my father's from Brixham, I suppose I should try to make an effort to do the race one year. Maybe as a UKnetrunner south-west regional event next year!!!
