Stephen P - I think the FLM you see is very different to the one I did. Bear in mind I cheered you when you were at 22 miles and I was at 14 !! Good luck up there with the elite.

I think it sad no-one seems able to enter into lively debate, as opposed to destructive, with anyone who holds a different view to their's. I make no apology for feeling as I do and am perfectly comfortable that others do not concur.

Please feel free to criticise in any way you wish the races in which I participate - most of which are not to most people's taste but they are mine. I am big enough, old enough and ugly enough to know one size does not fit all but hoped others were not so precious they could not accept this and debate constructively. I was obviously wrong.

i hate getting soaking wet, covered in mud, ripped to shreds, walking like a bandy legged bandy thing for three days after, vowing never to do it again.. so i,ll see you at the Grizzly Wendi..

The reject mag arrived and for that reason ...I'm out!

Third rejection in a row for me. Which will mean I am definitely in for 2012 to celebrate my 50th.

Jeannie not received anything yet - so still hope for her.

As much as I REALLY enjoy running Marathons, FLM just doesnt rock my boat at the moment although I have had offers locally (charity etc) to run it, I WILL run it twice over 2 years lol BUT the 8 Full Mara's i've run so far I've really enjoyed (well sometime afterwards anyway)

At the end of the day, running a Full Mara is a MASSIVE achievement no matter what, i just find having a bit more freedom to run 26.2 miles more enjoyable and having knocked over 1hour off my 1st attempt others will see why

Good luck to those running FLM, I will watch from the TV, UNLESS i get a decent offer to run for a MASSIVE cause and all charitys are a great cause anyway

just my thoughts and feelings as I REALLY cant get upset or bothered about a knock back for FLM so with that said I'll NOT enter the club ballot for FLM as there's peeps out there more needy than me

Hi to all, I have recieved my congratulations magazine so I am in. I have done London 5 times in the past but this was my 4th attempt to get in over the recent years. I have done a number of marathons over the years and think each one has special memories to me. Some good bits some bad. After my illness last year I have learnt to appreciate any run I do no matter what distance or place. I hope you all have success in whatever races you do. Peter

hi Peter - I've already posted on another forum BUT I really am pleased for you being on the mend and also now having next years FLM as a great incentive for your future training

Good luck in all your future events I look forward to reading about them and the commando challenge sounds VERY interesting this weekend

good luck

I am in FLM2009 - deffered place from last year due to injury sustained in March. just as the weather started to pick up and the majority of the long early morning runs had been done!
