I was just wondering this morning if everyones pc is broke or is everyone on holiday at the same time or has everyone just got a busier life than me, there seems to be a distinct lack of forumites recently, considering this is an internet based club, there only seems to be the same half a dozen or so regulars participating. Can we have some more people please. Right thats my rant for the day over, everyone can carry on now

Ian, you woke me up but you're absolutely right.
I've been having a few health problems lately, which is no excuse of course for not sending in the odd contribution. Anyway, I'm out jogging around again and will be taking part in the Ellesmere 10k this weekend - that should motivate me to be a little more communicative.
I hope everyone else is well and training hard. Look forward to hearing how they're all getting on.

Hi ian and preso,

I'm replying from my blackberry as I have no pc access just now.

The trend with the club is that this time of year gets notoriously quiet - and picks up again around September.

No reason why we shouldn't buck the trend!

I'll get a memo to all members encouraging increased forum usage as I agree its nicd for more people to be exchanging thoughts on the forum and add energy to the club's discussions.

More from me soon ....... I promise!

Work work work for me at this time of the year so no time for the more pleasant side of life!

However, I haven't been doing much running to speak of, fed up with the rain and when I do get a spare moment I have been tempted to the pub

Race 4 Life for me tomorrow...running with my daughter and quite a poignant point in her life after last year's treatment. This was my first event ever ever in the year 2000 and I have done it every year since.

A few events planned
Davos 28k
Midhurst 10k
Burnham Beeches Half marathon
Berlin marathon
Beachy Head marathon
Benidorm half marathon
Brighton 10k

I'm also thinking about coming up to Nottingham for the Half but need to check the pennies first!

Slow and steady wins the race.

Hi all, I have done an organized event every weekend for the last 8 weeks. I think I need to do this to have a chance of 7 marathons in 7 months. Also at the races have met one or two of you and hope to meet more of yopu at the next few.

Hi michael, yes have completed my first marathon across the South Downs in a time of just under 5 hours 15 mins. Hope all is going well with your marathon task. I have decided to do the Fairland Valley challenge on the 22nd July. This is a map reading marathon so should slow me a bit. Will update neare the time. Keep healthy all. Peter
