We ran, we conquered and we came 33rd and of 39 ...not bad seeing as I plunged us into 39th place at one point! I've just got home so about to dive in a bath full of bubbles and have a soak.

But just to say an absolute massive thank you and well done to David aka HW and his OH. They even supplied us with goodie bags Big thank you to HW's mate Andy who stepped in at the last minute to run a leg when we suddenly found ourselves a man short...and to HW for sticking in another effort himself.

Great to meet everyone...full report tomorrow, but for now its bath time

Finchy...I hope the car and OH are ok?

Running is real and relatively simple…but it ain't easy.

Hi again Mick - you are very close to me then as I live just to the south in Marlborough - maybe we have done some of the same races?

I have uplaoded some maps (provided by Fishyweb) here http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v670/gooch333/Ridgeway/

although they lose some detail. If you pm (private message) me with your email address I can send the original files, along with the course notes provided for the race.

At the above there are also some photos of the route & pictures on the day.

Im Prince Charles (All Ears!)

Will wait patiently for them Heavyweight.

Cheers Guys
Once i have got a few of the legs mapped i will run a few and get back to you with some timings. I live just off of Barbury Castle so its an easy detour for me.

Thanks again
Mick

Just back from Stansted & catching up on the GER tales.

Mick - I have everything from maps, to course profiles to pictures of the route - I'll look them out and post them in the morning.

Oh and welcome Mick - never too early to bagsy your stage !!!! (I hope we do it again next year - but there are other relays that may be happening as well/instead of.

Cor Blimey!
That was quick, thank you for the warm welcome Dips.
It was the make up of the legs (to and from, distances etc) i was looking for, it would be mad for me to be volunteering to do a '09 leg already! Ha ha
Cheers

Hi Mick...we haven't looked at 2009 yet but from my rather rusty memory they were all quite doable, 5-9miles.

Welcome aboard though and do keep posting.

Hello All, Newbie here.
Could anyone furnish me with the relay legs please? I would like to see how do-able they are.
Sounds brilliant by the way.

Thanks in advance
Mick

Amazing stuff. I've just read through all the reports and I'm totally amazed by all of you. Great organisation, great running and overall great team spirit. Gutted I wasn't able to join in.

If anyone is ever thinking of joining UKnr and needs convincing, point them at this thread and they'll be sold.

Well done everyone.

Have posted details of my effort on Stage 1 at http://gpsactivitymanager.com/events/61a67d5c-6b86-4ff7-b67b-b7e5197f00b1/ in the unlikely event that anyone is remotely interested!

The organiser asked if there were any corrections needed & I let him know both you & Vslow were rather more immature than he had assumed.

Now thinking about another award for the most vain runner...mmmmmmm
