Hi all,

I have decided that I need added reason for my attempt at the Edinburgh Marathon in 2008 ...... so have decided to raise funds for Alzheimer's Research Trust.

My mum suffered from Alzheimers for a number of years prior to her death around 10 years ago - and the cause means a lot to me - to hlep find a cure or way to slow down the progress of such a terrible disease.

Alzheimer's is a disease that affects the carers, family and firends who watch their loved one change before them, losing their character, personality and awareness of who their loved ones are.

I don't do much fund raising - as I know so many people are supporting their own causes - but doing this for Alzheimer's Research Trust will help others and give me reason to put my energies into the event.

Please support me at: http://www.justgiving.com/alanlacey1

My parents never got to see me run a marathon, or any distance race - but they are with me in my heart every single step of the way!
