I've got the OMM 25l http://www.tiso.com/shop/omm/classic-marathon-25l/?_affid=99&_cid=1 which is fantastic and is regularly used for running to work. I wish I'd known you could ladies specific ones. Adjusted to the extreme, it is fine for the winter, but just a little loose for tee-shirts/vests in the summer.

Ended up plumping for the inov-8 Race pro 12. Have worn it three times now, all over 8 miles and it is suprisingly comfortable.

I've got the salomon XA 20 - http://www.salomonsports.com/uk/?#/bags-and-packs/bags-and-packs/trail-running/xa-20-m - a v good bag and it has a system to squish it smaller if it's not full. V comfy and big enough to take a fair bit of kit with you if you need spare clothes or additional layers.

I got mine from http://shop.beyondextreme.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=235_245&products_id=950 but I agree with Richard - the folks at Likeys are great.

Can't do better than inov-8. If you want so really good advice in equipment for ultra's contact the guys at www.likeys.com the owners Martin and Matt have a lot of experience competing and organising ultras and supply a lot of ultra specific equipment at a good price, including inov-8 kit.

Good luck

Richard

I have been looking at one too Nick (for the Cotswolds) Have tried a Salomon ladies one on which was fab but not a lot of use to you.

I think you have to try a few on, LB bought one from Millets...billy bargain at £15 and felt comfy when I tried it on the other day.
