Saturday 4th July 12Noon - Total 24miles

I hesitate to suggest another relay as we haven't even got one out of the way yet this year, but this seems a little different (and I've got a gap in my diary!) 6 stages (3 x 5.25 miles, 3x 2.75mile), all circular off-road round Windsor Great Park on a Summer Saturday afternoon. Perfect picnic/bbq opportunity & a little bit of a run as well. Has good ratings from Runnersworld - not super competative - just a little fun.

edit: Just wanted to add - as all stages are circular there are no flipping car/runner/bike logistics needed.

Definately hilly but the 209/Saloman South Downs Relay is good too and only 4 to make a team....you also get to over take all the knackered marathon runners if you run the glory leg like I did.

How about the South Downs one you did the other week for the Swingouts Dips? Don't know how many legs but its a more manageable event - bit like The Ridgeway but on different hills really!! Also there is a marathon at the same time so if anyone wants to run it solo there is the opportunity.

Ahhh, I didn't notice that about 3 legs, actually makes it kind of doable and a bit interesting. Like the idea of Uknetsister hood though

How about a UKnetrunningsisters.co.uk combined team?

edit: Ah - I see only 6 runners needed & thre legs each.

hmmm 3 legs - maybe we could follow up on the egg & spoon theme

HW, one to look at next year might be the South Downs 100 mile relay?

http://www.southdownsrelay.co.uk/index.htm

But it might be difficult getting 18 runners together.

I guess not quite enough interest for this one, especially as Matt is injured.

Entry has to be in by 1st July - so I won't persue it unless there is a sudden last minute rush.

I like the idea of this one. However I don't know if I will be back from my injury by then. Put me down as a maybe

Sounds like fun! Put me down as a "definite maybe" for now, and I'll check with HQ once I've earned some brownie points to cash in.

'Fraid the Sussex Branch will have to decline this one. They will be in sunny Cornwall celebrating a certain person's birthday by running The Beast of Bodmin!!
